25 Enchanting Photos of Sweden in Winter

Sweden in the winter is beautiful beyond measure.  With so many of my Sweden photos still unshared, I thought I’d do one last post, a round-up of all my favorite magical, wintry shots from around Stockholm and Hudiksvall, the two main places where I spent time this winter.

No lengthy introduction, no wordy captions, just pretty photos for you to enjoy.

Happy almost spring!

Good shots. I’ve never been to Sweden, but it’s definitely a happy almost-spring here in Chicago. We’re right on the edge of blue skies and puffy clouds.

Thanks a lot, Dan! We had lovely blue skies here in Washington today, too. 🙂

So many gorgeous pics! You know, winter is my least favorite time of the year but Sweden just might make me love it. Thanks for sharing!

Aw thank you Jeanna! Agreed, winter can be a bummer but pretty places do make it more tolerable 🙂

Thanks Ella! I couldn’t agree more. I’ve got winter visions of cities like Prague, Munich and Amsterdam stuck in my head, can’t wait to see more next winter!

I misread that title as “25 Menacing Photos of Sweden in Winter”… Freudian slip? I’m afraid I’ll need a long, long tropical getaway before I can fully appreciate winter anywhere, even if it is in a pristine little corner of Europe 😉

Or do what I did and live and travel in boiling hot tropical countries for years without ever seeing the snow! You’ll learn to appreciate the snow that way, I promise 🙂

Thanks so much, Mary! Stockholm is really beautiful in the snow, but sadly there wasn’t much of it this year!
