Go Ahead–Ask Me Anything!

The Vogue, Chelan, Washington

Today, I’m inviting you to coffee.

I know you have a lot of burning questions, and I want to finally answer them once and for all!

You can ask me anything you like, whether it’s about travel, my lifestyle, my freelance work, my personal life, or blogging. Nothing is off limits!

That is, with a few caveats.

I won’t entertain any questions that I deem mean-spirited, invasive, or inappropriate, so please keep things light and respectful.  If you wouldn’t ask someone your question in a real-life, face-to-face conversation, it may not be appropriate to ask here, either.  This is a positive space for like-minded travelers and bullies are not welcome!

With that in mind, feel free to ask away!

How to Submit Your Questions

  • Leave a comment on this post
  • Email me at leah@thesweetestway.com with AMA as the subject
  • Comment on the post on Facebook

Questions will be answered in a video (and with coffee in hand, no doubt) which I will post sometime within the next month, so be sure to check back!

Please keep in mind that depending on the number of questions I receive, I may not be able to answer 100% of them, but I will do my best.  If you have more than one question to ask, please limit yourself to three!

I may include readers’ first names in the video; IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO REMAIN ANONYMOUS, please enter your name as “Anonymous” in the comments section or include “Anonymous” as the subject heading when submitting a question by email.

I can’t wait to read your questions!  Catch you on the flip side!

With so much travel, do you have any luggage tips? What do you use?

What is one thing you cannot travel without?

How do you make sure you’re getting the best deals on your travel experiences?

Do you have any tips for creating an engaged readership on your blog? Also, what are some of the things you tried when you were first starting your life as a digital nomad? Thank you, Leah! I’m excited to watch the video ?

I recently moved to China, and I want to make the most of my experiences here. The last few years, I worked doing freelance video production and photography in Nashville, and I’d love to get some work every once in a while here with the equipment I brought with me here–either for companies here or back home. How do you go about finding creative work while you’re abroad? Do you tend to work with clients you find while traveling or with people from home?

When are you going to introduce your Swedish love interest? :p

Can’t wait to watch the video, Leah! Could you shed some light for a newbie travel blogger on how to enter the world of affiliate advertising? It’s something that I’ve longed to dive into, but I’m not sure what the first steps are.

How do you stay in the present moment during your travel adventures, while still capturing them via snapchat and taking photos for your blog/social media?

Hey Leah, I love this idea! Your photos always look so amazing.. just wondering what program(s) you use to export/compress your photos, and what size you recommend using on WordPress? Thanks 🙂

Thanks for answering our questions, Leah! As someone who aspires to a similar lifestyle, my questions are on the business side – I hope that’s okay. How did you get started with freelance writing, and what were the first things you did to start earning money from your blog?

Why should I hire a travel agent instead of using the Internet and booking stuff myself?
