Friday Snapshots: Budapest to Kraków

Greetings from Poland, and happy Friday!

This week I’m updating from Kraków with a double-feature.  I’ve been a bit too wrapped up in trying to experience and enjoy my latest destinations to keep up all that well with blogging on top of my other responsibilities, but now that I’ve been in Kraków for nearly a full week, I’ve found a bit of free time to catch up.

If you’ve been following along on Snapchat (and if you haven’t, get on it! –> @lamochilera) you might know I had plans to head to Wroclaw today.  Well, surprise!  I’ll be staying in Kraków until the end of the weekend and I’ve just impulsively purchased tickets to a small electronic music festival in a city called Katowice about one hour from here.  I’ve been trying to make it to one of these European festivals all summer (like Sziget Festival in Budapest, which I regrettably missed last week) so when I stumbled upon this opportunity, I couldn’t resist.

Anyway, I’ve absolutely loved both Budapest and Kraków and only wish I had more time to spend in each.  They’ve got me seriously considering moving back to Eastern Europe to settle in for the long haul after my upcoming stint in Thailand.  There’s just something so captivating about these cities, and they’re so different from any of my previous travels that every new day is an adventure.

So without further ado, please enjoy this week’s snaps of my two favorite cities so far: Budapest, Hungary and Kraków, Poland.
