Friday Snapshots: A Sunny Week in Stockholm

Greetings from Washington once again, and happy Friday!

I may have returned stateside sooner than anticipated, but my heart is still firmly in Sweden; my final week in Stockholm was a beautiful one, to say the least, and tearing myself away wasn’t easy.

My weekend was filled with sweet things like new experiences (a trip to Drottningholm Palace, the residence of the Swedish royal family), sunshine, Swedish pancakes and champagne.  The sunshine continued throughout the week, leaving me with a few final days to see Stockholm in its best light.

I couldn’t help but grab a few final photos as I meandered through the city the day before my departure, adding to my ever-growing collection of Stockholm photos.  The light was just too perfect as I passed by City Hall for the millionth time; I think these are some of my favorite shots yet.

Since arriving home, I’ve enjoyed hanging with my family and furry friends and making plans with human friends for the coming weeks.  Plans for spring travels are unfolding slowly, and I’ll be sure to shout them from the rooftops as soon as they’re set in stone.  I’m excited for what’s in store and grateful for some relaxed time in Washington to recharge between adventures.

Love these! We’re hoping to do a motorbike trip around Scandinavia next summer and these have put Stockholm firmly on the list of places to visit. Hope you’re enjoying Washington!

I can’t believe you’re already moving on. These past few months have somehow slipped by so quickly! But I can say that having the chance to unwind back home is kind of amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed spending last month back in California. It made a world of difference in enabling me to mentally prep for my big move to Beijing. Well Leah, as always I cannot wait to see where life leads you next :).

I know it’s crazy how a few months in one place hardly feels like any time at all. But I am hopeful that I’ll be back before I know it! I’m already enjoying being home. Looking forward to a few upcoming trips, too! 🙂

Being from Sweden myself, It always makes me happy when people are happy and love Sweden where I’m from but believe i already made that comment. I also love that you went in winter, Stockholm is a beautiful place in winter and summer as well for that matter:) Next time you also need to put Gothenburg on the list.
I doubt i will never live in Sweden again but it is a really good place to be.

Hope you enjoy time in Washington!
