Traveling in Style: Inkkas from Coast to Coast

Traveling in Style: Inkkas from Coast to Coast

Greetings from sunny Manhattan, everybody, and a very happy Friday!

I’ve just completed a solid 12-hour trip from Washington to New York City and I’m not gonna lie–I’m exhausted.  And ecstatic!!1!!1  It’s confusing.  My mind wants to go go go but my body’s like “Ummmm, chill the *$&# out.”  So tonight I will probably do the latter.

BUT.  I am really very happy to be in New York for the week.  I’ve got loads of stuff planned, including a few things I’ve never done in this city before, and it’s all sure to be incredible.  I’m currently writing this from a gorgeous 9th-floor room at The Marcel at Gramercy, a beautiful boutique hotel with some damn good city views.  From my room, I’ve got a clear view down busy 3rd Avenue (check my Snapchat for some live action), and from the 10th-floor lounge, the Empire State Building stands proud in all her glory (or “Empy,” as my fellow HIMYM addicts probably know her).

On the way here, I got to try out my cool new Inkkas for the first time, which are shoes designed using travel-inspired fabrics from around the globe.  The particular pair I’m sporting is the Flora African Jogger, a bright and eye-catching shoe that’s comfortable from the get-go (no breaking in necessary) and gives me about an inch of height to boot!

This little photo series was a fun one to capture; it’s not often that I keep my eyes firmly on the ground in search of interesting patterns as I travel.  I might just have to take these kinds of photos more often!  I began my afternoon in Peshastin yesterday, made my first stop at Sea-Tac International Airport, then a layover in Salt Lake City, Utah, and finally New York in the early hours of the morning.

Which photo is your favorite?  And, more importantly, how amazing are these shoes?!

Check out some of my other favorite Inkkas styles!  I adore the bright colors and eclectic patterns.

What’s your favorite pair of shoes to wear while traveling?  Do you go for comfort or style?

Inkkas kindly sent me this pair of shoes to try out, and I mean it when I say they are comfortable!  And I’ve gotten so many compliments already!  All opinions are my own.
