Spring Days in San Francisco

Japantown, San Francisco

Greetings from Fog City and happy Friday, everyone!

My week in San Francisco has so far been a blur of friends (furry and otherwise), food, and gloriously sunny days.  I’ve had a blast catching up with my buddies and meeting cool new ones, and things are not about to slow down as we head into the weekend!

My week started off in a neighborhood of San Francisco that I knew nothing about, Japantown.  My hotel fit the theme wonderfully (in fact, the hotel deal is how I wound up there in the first place) and our ramen noodle dinner just felt right.  I loved feeling like I was in Japan for a few moments (a country that is VERY high on my travel wish list) and discovering a new part of the city.  If you’re ever on the hunt for great ramen, sushi and sake, this is the spot!

Next, I spent a night in the Tenderloin where I indulged in a donut from the wildly popular Mr. Holmes Bakehouse (caramel popcorn flavored–divine) and enjoyed gorgeous city views from Hotel Carlton.  I then skipped off to meet the lovely Julia of Gal Meets Glam at an event she was hosting in the Marina district, which was a highlight of my week!

Other highlights of the week include a home-cooked meal with friends, a night cuddling puppies at a charity event supporting Rocket Dog Rescue, and an afternoon catching up with one of my favorite friends and her frisky Rottweiler pup.  Being blessed with gorgeous sunny weather has been the cherry on top of an already fantastic week.

Plans for the weekend include a wander around the Ferry Building Marketplace, a DJ set tonight, and brunches with as many friends as possible!Hotel Kabuki, San Francisco Japantown, San Francisco Japantown Peace Plaza, San Francisco Hotel Carlton, San Francisco Hotel Carlton, San Francisco Hotel Carlton, San Francisco Mr. Holmes Bakehouse, San Francisco San Francisco, California
